The Owner- Elizabeth (Liz) Lipovsky
My name is Elizabeth Lipovsky and I am the owner Hogback Mountain Pony Rides, LLC, established 2016. I grew up on Hogback Mountain Road in Leesburg, Virginia and started riding at a very young age. Later on, I realized that many children and adults in this area have little, or no experience around equines. So, I decided to give young children and beginning equine enthusiasts a way to interact and learn the basics. Not only does Ms. Lipovsky have a background in equestrian and education, but was a collegiate soccer player and has coached at various levels.
Ms. Lipovsky has her undergraduate and graduate degrees in education. She is a teacher in the public schools and is a philanthropist.
Tahoe Kauffman
My name is Freddie Kauffman, I'm a senior at Virginia Tech completing a dual degree in environmental resource management and animal & poultry science. I've been at hogback mountain pony rides since 2018. Aside from working with the ponies, I enjoy riding and competing with my horse in eventing.
Lillie Nodell
Hi my name is Lillian Nodell, I’m a sophomore in high school. I’m learning to be a teacher for early Childhood education.This is my first year at Hogback Mountain Pony Rides. My favorite part of working at Hogback is working with Winger (Tater Tot) at the Loudoun United soccer games. I enjoy working with everyone I get to meet at the job and working with the horses.
Anneliese Mielke
Anneliese Mielke is an avid horse back rider. Riding since she was 7, she has shown dressage, barrel racing, and Hunter/Jumper. Anni is the owner of 2 businesses that are centered around mermaid entertainment for children. She is also a winterguard coach for Strasburg High School. Anni is lifeguard certified, Red cross certified, and first aid certified. Her love of horses forever continues as she bought a farm in Boyce, VA. She lives happily with her 3 horses, dog, cat, 16 chickens, and 3 ducks. Anni is beyond happy to be a part of the Hogback Mountain team and has known the owner for 5 years. Anni has also taught lessons for 4 years on her own horses.
Hi, I’m Rebekah Hunt! I’m graduating high school and looking into Civil Engineering and Construction work. I rode horses for 4 years and show jumped. I love horses and love working with them. Working with horses, I get my hands dirty and gain more experience. It’s a dream of mine to own a horse and get back into riding.
Hey, I'm Rosie Schantz! I have been riding horses now for 7 years. When I was younger I took part in pony club. I love working with horses and all sorts of animals. My main goal is keeping them happy and comfortable!
